Make it Monday! – Whoa a sweater edition

What am I working on this week?

Well, Christmas knitting of course!

On Saturday night, I decided that most of the gifts I’ll be giving this year will be knit.  What does this mean exactly?  Today, I created a list which is wayyyyyy longer than I anticipated.  I knew I was going to knit a sweater dress for my daughter as it is already started but hmm, maybe the socks she’s been asking for as well.  Then I thought about my side of the family.  My brother could use a hat, his fiance could use another hat and mittens, maybe my mom would like a hat and scarf, well hmm how about my nephew, he could use a sweater and mittens, my sister-in-law asked for a pair of socks, and so it went.  I think the list ended up with 14 things on it.  Holy moly!  That will NOT be happening before Christmas.  Oh and, I have some commissioned knits that are also due before the end of the year.  We shall see what I get done by the end of the year.

Currently on the needles:
Flax by Tin Can Knits in Plymouth Encore in three colors and to add just a little more interest there is an arrowhead lace detail on the sleeves.  It is being knit in the 8-10 year old size with size US 8 (5mm) for the ribbing and US 9 (5.5mm) for the body.  The colors are almost accurate.  The dark color is actually a plum not a navy as my screen is showing but the other two are pretty true to color.
